This Vegetarian Fruit Tart is a delicious dessert with a buttery, flaky crust and a bunch of fresh fruits. It's great for any event and will definitely impress!
Ingredients:
- 1 cups all-purpose flour
- cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups mixed fresh fruits such as berries, kiwi, and mango
- cup apricot preserves
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
In a food processor, combine flour, butter, and powdered sugar
Pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Add egg and pulse until dough forms
Press dough into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan
Prick the bottom with a fork
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
Let it cool completely
Arrange mixed fresh fruits on top of the cooled tart crust
In a small saucepan, heat apricot preserves and water over medium heat until melted and smooth
Brush over the fruits
Chill tart in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving
