Ingredients:
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/4 cup of masa harina corn flour
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- Whipped cream optional
- Cocoa powder for garnish optional
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish optional
Instructions:
In a blender, combine the milk, masa harina, cocoa powder, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt
Blend until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth
Pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat it over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens
This should take about 5-7 minutes
Do not let it boil
Once the mixture has thickened, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes
Pour the smoothie into glasses and, if desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder
You can also garnish with a cinnamon stick for added flair
